From a Battle for Breath to
a Life of Serenity

I'm Deeksha, and I truly feel like I'm living my second life. A decade ago, my body was at war with itself, and a diagnosis left me so weak I couldn't walk—I had honestly given up. Then, a line in a yoga book hit me hard: “Yoga is not about touching your toes, it's about what you learn on the way down.” So I started there, with just two minutes of breathing a day because it was all I could manage. Hearing my doctor call my recovery a "miracle" months later wasn't just a relief; it lit a fire in me to truly understand this practice, a fire that took me all the way to India to learn the traditional arts of yoga and sound healing from my gurus. Please know, yoga didn't magically cure me—I still live with my conditions—but it gave me the tools to rebuild my life. Everything I share through Yog With Deeksha comes from that real-life experience, blended with the authentic wisdom of my teachers. It's why I don’t do "cookie-cutter" classes. My whole purpose is to meet you right where you are, using breath, movement, and sound to help you find your own path to what my studio is named for: JustSerenity.
